Yup.... you read it right... we all are our own enemies...
My very close childhood friend Ramesh, got married last year to Vishaka :) [Im still a bachelor... sigh! :( ]. His whole family, mother, father and 2 brothers are very close to me and they are my 2nd family. Marriage was really good. All I know, I was having fun the whole of week before marriage. Dancing, screaming, laughing, doing pranks, on the whole superb fun. The marriage was really grand like it happens in the marwari community. I was really happy for all of them.
Recently what happened Ramesh called me up saying police had come to their home. I rushed to the scene to help him out. I found out that Vishaka bhabhi had come with police and her father because the whole family had been beating and torturing her, demanding dowry. Vishaka bhabhi was crying non-stop and I couldnt see that. First I was shocked and then felt disgusting that how could I be friends with such sick people who could go to such lines of de-gradation with their own bahu, the lakshmi of their home.
My blood boiled, the first thing I wanted to do was meet Ramesh and get him on the task. How could my friend be so cheap & value-less, but then before that I needed to console bhabhi coz I cant see her crying, actually I cant see any women crying, but what could I possibly say in such a situation to comfort her??? I was confused.
The continuation is on
